Check wires to the male and faemle conn. Sounds like they are crossed.Clean the sensor that is in the water. Check fuses to areator and test for power with test light. Lighter should have 2 wires. One is grnd. the other is feed wire…hot wire. To replace carpet remove old one and clean floor of old material. buy yhe out door carpet you want and cut it to size first. Then glue it down using the proper cement for out doorsCheck lighter wires with test light to determine which is which.To check for a poor grnd connect one end to one end of grnd and the other end to where it normally gets grnd. If grnd is BAD, thelight will come on!!!!. The power will go through the test light rather than the proper grnd wire. SIMPLE EH?? Remember to do this current must be flowing…switch ON!! -
